The Turning Point of The Twin's Daughter

There were many important parts in The Twin's Daughter by: Lauren Baratz-Logsted. The turning point of this book would have to be when Aunt Helen was murdered. I think this would be the turning point of The Twin's Daughter because it had a great affect on the people she knew. In the book it states, "'I cannot believe my sister is dead,' Mother said as she entered the church, supported on either side of my father and myself." This shows that it huge took a tole on Lucy's mother that her sister was dead. Also it says, "My father had put on so much weight over the past two years..." This shows that Luc's father was also affected by Aunt Helen's death and he put on weight from eating the pain away. All in all, that is why I believe the turning point of The Twin's Daughter by: Lauren Baratz-Logsted is when Aunt Helen was murdered.

If I was a Character in Artemis Fowl The Opal Deception…

If I was a character in Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception by: Eoin Colfer and had the power to change an event in the story I certainly would. The character I would become would be Foaly, a centaur and the mastermind of the L.E.P. The event in the story I would change, by using my power, would be to prevent the escape of Opal Koboi from the J. Argon Clinic. The way I would have prevented this would be to keep at least five armed L.E.P.  Officers outside of Opal Koboi’s room at all times. In the book it states, “Gradually, the L.E.P. crews downsized from a dozen to six and finally to a single officer per shift.” If I was Foaly I would have also only let L.E.P. officials into the room to make sure it was actually her and that only L.E.P. officers cleaned her room and not anyone else. If I was Foaly I would have made sure nobody but members of The L.E.P. went in her room. All in all, if I was Foaly I would have used my power to make sure Opal Koboi never escaped her clinic, J. Argon Clinic.

Spoiler Alert- Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident

The book Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident by: Eoin Colfer has a great ending that any Artemis Fowl fan would enjoy. After helping the L.E.P. (Lower Elements Police) with taking down the troll rebellion lead by Opal Koboi the L.E.P. have agreed to help Artemis Fowl save his father from the Russian Mafiya. Artemis calls the Russian holding his father,Mikhael Vassikin, and makes sure that it is his father. Once he was convinced it was his father Butler, with a fairy sniper rifle, shoots Artemis’s father with a shell full of blood to trick the Russian Mafiya into thinking that Artemis has shot his father on purpose. When Vassikin throws Artemis Fowl Senior into the freezing Arctic waters Captain Holly Short of the L.E.P. dives into the radioactive water to save him. When she brings him to shore Artemis Fowl Junior has finally saved his father. All in all, Artemis Fowl Jr saves his father by tricking the Russian Mafiya into thinking that he killed his own father when he was really saving him.

Letter to Artemis Fowl

9/26/11
Dear Artemis Fowl,
Hello, my name is Scott A., and I am from the United States. I have read about your scheme of holding an L.E.P. (Lower Elements Police) officer hostage and demanding a metric ton of 24-carot gold. I am writing this letter to ask you why you would do such a thing? Why would you go through so much trouble to do this? There are other ways to make money. You could have just started a business or created something people would buy.
I do not think you should have done this for many reasons. One reason is that you could have been killed. You knew that the L.E.P. would one way or another release the Bio-Bomb on you. Although you did have a plan to survive the Bio-Bomb it still could have not worked. What if the sleeping pills you gave the Butler’s and yourself did not work? Another reason I do not think you should have done this is you became an enemy of a very powerful people. The L.E.P. have technology thousands of years ahead of the human race. If you ever did anything as bad to them as this they will most likely not hesitate to destroy you. My final reason of why I think you should not have done this is you put others at risk. Juliet (Butler’s Sister) had barely anything to do with this very complicated scheme. If your plan had failed you, Butler, and the most innocent, Juliet, would have died. In conclusion, I do not think this plot was a good idea.
Sincerely,
Scott
